October 25, 2025- Join Us to Greet Honor Flight Veterans

The Most Fun & Patriotic Event in Broward on a Saturday Night!

The Broward Women’s Republican Club, Federated is joining with the Boca Raton Federated Republican Ladies of Liberty Club at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport on Saturday, October 25th to welcome home the Honor Flight  South Florida. This is an amazing evening of fun and patriotism, and it doesn’t cost a thing to honor our veterans.

Honor Flight South Florida is a 100% all-volunteer organization, dedicated solely to honoring all veterans  in Broward, Dade, and Monroe Counties. In the final chapters of their lives, it’s a race against time to fly these veterans to Washington, DC to visit and reflect at the memorials and monuments built in their honor. Top priority is given to the most senior defenders of freedom – World War II and Korean War veterans, and those veterans who are terminally ill – and Cold War and Vietnam Veterans are now also being served. Every one of these veterans flies for free and is accompanied by a guardian for the day. It is an extraordinary program honoring our veterans.

Our Broward Women’s Republican Club, Boca Raton Federated Republican Ladies of Liberty Club and our friends will be there to greet the veterans after their day in Washington, DC and thank them for their service so many years ago. 

Date: Saturday, October 25, 2025

Time: Arrive any time after 7:00 pm, the Honor Flight  lands at 8:00 pm

Where: Fort Lauderdale Airport, Spirit Airlines, Terminal 4, Departure (Upper Level)

What to Bring: Bring your flags, wear your red, white and blue patriotic gear. We have seen people bring red, white and blue pom-poms, balloons, and other gear to generate excitement at the greeting point with the veterans.

Look For: Happy, patriotic and excited  Americans in Terminal 4 by Spirit Airlines who love our veterans and appreciate their service to our country.

Parking: Park in hourly parking at the Fort Lauderdale airport, and  we encourage ride share or Uber, or the remote airport parking lot and  shuttle over.
